What could be better than exploring heritage and culture with a local when you are overseas?

“Dr Peter Poon drove all the way to my residential hall to pick me up. He showed me around Beverly Hills and treated me to a meal of amazing Greek cuisine. I really enjoyed our conversation and he is such a wonderful mentor to have.”

HKU mentor Olivia Cheng once again this year invited her mentees to her pottery workshop (容雅窰). On a day immersed in nature and sunshine, mentees were thrilled to enjoy this creative yet relaxing process, and experiencing the joy of hand-building and crafting pottery from clay.

“I had a group gathering with my mentor Sharon and another mentor-mentee pair, and it was really inspiring. The mentors shared a lot about their experience as clinical psychologists or counsellors, which inspired me a lot.
