[Boston] Personal and Professional Growth in Boston

Sau Fong gathered most of the mentors and mentees in Boston for a New Year party, where each of us brought a dish we had cooked.

Wong Hoi Yat (BSc) “My mentorship journey in Boston provided concrete professional advantages and profound personal growth. I gained access to a new professional network when my mentor, Professor Selina Sau-Fong Siu. introduced me to her former mentees, creating valuable opportunities to build connections in my field. Personally, the relationship fostered a powerful sense of belonging and community. I also benefited immensely from the invaluable life lessons shared by both my mentor and her husband, Professor Siu Yum Tong. From them, I learned the importance of lifelong curiosity and saw an inspiring model of a partnership enriched by shared passions.

Sau Fong’s most positive attributes are her unique combination of wisdom, proactive support, and exceptional warmth. As a distinguished sociologist and community founder, she is an inspiring and deeply wise role model who generously shares lessons from her remarkable life. She shared her experience of traveling and living in different countries, offered career path advice, and shared ways to manage personal life. Above all, her warmth is extraordinary. She welcomed me into her home and made me feel like family, serving her homemade dessert, and we broke into song together after discovering a shared love for choir.”
