[Boston] Food for thought

As an exchange student in the US, Carman often felt lost and completely alone in the new country. Through her mentor Dr Venus Huang, Carman was able to widen her horizon and know more about what it’s like being a migrant in America.

“My mentor took me to Boston College and gave me a tour. We had a great time chatting and enjoying ourselves there. Through chatting with my mentor, I understood more about the industry she is working in (biochemical industry). I also widened my horizon and got to know more about being a migrant in America. She provided me a lot of food for thought and motivated me to achieve higher goals.”

“We also enjoyed an afternoon tea with Ms Siu, the founder and former convener for Hong Kong University Alumni Association of Boston – New England and Milly Ng (Mrs. Lau), the current convener. We exchanged ideas and thoughts.”
