[Salzburg] Deeper Understanding of Austria

Yeung Tsz Yuet (MBBS), “My mentor, Mr. Erich Habian, enhanced my understanding of Austria and provided me with a comprehensive view of the social situation there. Having studied in Hong Kong before, we often discussed comparisons and similarities between Hong Kong and Austria. This gave me a valuable opportunity to learn about the real and detailed circumstances in Austria. My mentor has also been instrumental in helping me make sense of these multifaceted situations. He shared insights about Austria’s evolving economic and social landscape, connecting macro-level trends to everyday experiences I, as an exchange student, encounter.

Additionally, his encouragement has inspired me to explore Austria more deeply, from its vibrant cities to its mountainous countryside. I was inspired and impressed by Austria’s charisma—ranging from classical arts and music to unique traditions and the Austrian ethos of “Gemütlichkeit,” which conveys a sense of warmth.

Moreover, he is always welcoming questions and answers with patience and friendliness. His kind support provides me with practical guidance and the confidence to immerse myself fully in Austrian life and seek out new perspectives.”
