\n\u201cMy mentor, Dr Lai, is experienced and kind. During our meetings, he took me and another mentee to various places, which I was a complete stranger to, such as a restaurant with live bands. Those were great experiences to have and I received a warm welcome and useful guidance from Dr Lai, and heard many stories told with great wit.\u201d Jay, BEng(ME) Year 3, who was on exchange at the University of Calgary<\/p>\n

\u201cDr Lai provided some useful information to help me get used to the new environment. We visited some famous attractions in the city. He introduced to us some local history and shared additional knowledge about the places we visited, which deepened my understanding of this city and even Canada. Dr Lai and his wife Vivienne invited Jay and I to visit the Alberta Legislature Building and afterwards we had a wonderful dinner together.\u201d Mak Man Yi, BSc(FNSc) Year 3, who has finished her exchange at the University of Alberta.<\/p>\n
