\u201cMy mentor Mr P H Mak is patient, responsible, hard-working and also knowledgeable. By meeting and having meals with my mentor and his wife, I learnt more about dining etiquette and table manners. My mentor always talk to us and listens to our concerns. He always encourages us to be positive and gives us guidance. I am so grateful for his encouragement and care. Having him as a role model, I am also trying to help others as much as I can.<\/p>\n

Before Christmas, a group of mentees gathered at Mr Mak\u2019s home and had dinner together. We also decorated the Christmas tree together.\u201d Deng Yiqi.<\/p>\n

Hu Hongying: \u201cMr Mak gave me lots of advice both on my studies and life in general. Learning from his experience, I appreciate the importance of co-operation with other people, especially with hall mates. Once I came down with a fever and cough, Mrs Mak helped me to find some herbal medicine, which I found deeply touching and, as I am studying far from home, it gave me more motivation.\u201d<\/p>\n
