We shared our background and stories of the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. The meeting was great! Dr Lo shared a lot of stories and the histories of different cities in the United Kingdom. For example, London was once a large port with many big ships and Newcastle was famous of its coal mining industry. Furthermore, we talked about issues that not only affect Hong Kong, but in the global context. We shared our opinions about global warming and the reclamation policy of Hong Kong. The meeting with my mentor helped me understand the history of the United Kingdom and identify the cultural differences. What is more, Dr Lo took Mike and me to a very decent Chinese restaurant in London. The food there, especially the dim sum, was delicious. I would like to thank Dr Lo for his assistance and support.\u201d Cielo Yiu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr Lo is extremely friendly and approachable. We have learnt more about the cultures and politics of the UK and its current struggle with Brexit.
