What if your genes could be manipulated? | Reverse Mentorship

Two Student Instructors, Jonathan Ching (Mentee, BBA(IS) & BEng(CompSc) Final Year) and Lai Hei Ming (MBBS Final Year), guided a group of mentors and mentees on a tour of the fascinating and mysterious workings of DNA, introduced the advancing gene editing technologies, its impact on human life, and also discussed the ethical implications of gene manipulation made possible by new technologies.

“Hei Ming and Jonathan were very well prepared and able to present a very difficult topic clearly. A very good way for mentors to learn from mentees and appreciate their expertise,” one mentor shared.

Let’s stay curious… until the next sharing!
