Feeling welcome and safe

“My mentor Mrs Connie Louie is very caring. I was introduced to the former Hong Konger’s life as an immigrant to the United States. As Connie previously worked in education, I also got to know more about the education scene there. Above all, Connie made me feel very welcome and safe during my stay in Boston.

Photo 1: Connie took me to Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, of which she is a member. We ate lunch, saw the current exhibit and had a great time chatting.

Photo 2: Connie and I both joined the Christmas Tea Party at alumni Professor Siu and Sau-Fong’s house. We ate, talked, played in the snow and sang carols. It was a very heart-warming afternoon.”

Mentor in Boston, USA: Mrs Connie Louie
