Listened to my worries

“My mentor Doris is a good listener; she is very friendly, supportive and considerate. She is always willing to listen to my stories and worries, and helped me to analyse the situations. I received some advice regarding my future possible paths, got to know more about how is it like to work in the government sector and learned the daily lives of elderly people in Hong Kong through the volunteer activity she invited me to join. I also joined Doris and her husband in a game of badminton.”

Mentor Doris Cheung (right) and mentee Bernice Chow (BSc[FNSc] Year 2) joined in voluntary work to visit the elderly in Hunghom.
